Esh Ta’mid!

God brings the flame, and we bring the wood. The everlasting fire in the temple in Jerusalem was not a miracle that happens to us, but a miracle we choose to keep alive together. 🔥 ‘Esh Tamid (Eternal Flame)’ is the first release from my album of songs for Hanukkah. This is a Human/AI collaboration, based on my research into the symbolism of Hanukkah.

Lyrics - Esh Ta'mid [click to open]

In the Temple burned ‘Esh Ta’Mid’,
Everlasting fire, always lit.
Flame from heaven, pure and bright,
Heaven’s fire in human hearts.
God sends fire from above,
Waiting still for hands and love.

Esh Ta’mid – let it burn, let it rise,
Eternal light before our eyes.
Esh Ta’mid – from above, from within,
God sends the fire, we light it in.
Hear the call, feel the flame,
Not to wait, not to watch – participate.
God brings the flames,
ESH ESH ESH TA’MID
But we bring the wood.
ESH ESH ESH TA’MID

Holiness is not complete
Till heaven’s fire and people meet.
The flame is His, the choice is ours,
Light is born in lived-out hours.
Not a miracle done alone,
But a light we make our own.

Esh Ta’mid – let it burn, let it rise,
Eternal light before our eyes.
Esh Ta’mid – from above, from within,
God sends the fire, we light it in.
Hand in hand, heart to heart,
Divine light begins where humans start.
God brings the flames,
ESH ESH ESH TA’MID
But we bring the wood.
ESH ESH ESH TA’MID

Esh Ta’mid – let it burn, let it rise,
Eternal light before our eyes.
Esh Ta’mid – from above, from within,
God sends the fire, we light it in.
Hand in hand, heart to heart,
Divine light begins where humans start.
God brings the flames,
ESH ESH ESH TA’MID
But we bring the wood.
We bring the wood.
ESH ESH ESH TA’MID

Light From Within

The light of Hanukkah is not something we bring from outside. It is revealed from within. This second release, “Light From Within”, reminds us: we don’t fight the darkness, rather we uncover the light that was already there. Inspired by the Hanukkah menorah, the oil, and the courage to live wisdom through action. This is a Human/AI collaboration.

Lyrics - Light From Within [click to open]

In winter, Hanuka begins,
A gentle glow, kin within.
Not a light we borrow,
Not a flame outside,
But a hidden light
Living deep inside.

Oil in the jar,
Light meant for me and you.
History shows us
Light finds its way through.

Light from within,
Rising again,
We don’t push the night
Or fight the shade,
We reveal the light
Already made.
Light from within,
Steady and clear,
What’s hidden inside
Is always here.

First night one candle,
Second night two,
Three, four, five, six,
Each flame lifts our view.
Seven days of nature,
The world as we know,
But the eighth goes higher,
A light beyond the flow.

Light from within,
Rising again,
We don’t push the night
Or fight the shade,
We reveal the light
Already made.
Light from within,
Steady and clear,
What’s hidden inside
Is always here.

The olive holds potential,
Sealed deep within,
Pressed into oil
By the weight we live in.
Oil is wisdom,
Clear but unlit,
It stays in the dark
If we don’t live it.

When oil is burned,
It rises as flame,
Not thought alone,
But action brings change.
We light a presence,
A connection is made,
Wisdom becomes light
When it’s lived, not just said.

Light from within,
Rising again,
We don’t push the night
Or fight the shade,
We reveal the light
Already made.
Light from within,
Steady and clear,
What’s hidden inside
Is always here.

Light from within,
Rising again,
We don’t push the night
Or fight the shade,
We reveal the light
Already made.
Light from within,
Steady and clear,
What’s hidden inside
Is always here.

The Space Between

Holiness is not always in what we see, but in what we leave open… The Holy of Holies, a sacred room in the second Jewish Temple, was empty… An absence where human freedom begins. No image. No form. Just space. “The Space Between” is the third release from my album “Songs for Hanuka”, a Human/AI collaboration inspired by Jewish wisdom and symbolism

Lyrics - The Space Between [click to open]
The Holy of Holies, an empty room,
Most sacred space on earth.
At the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem,
Too holy for looks or steps.
No image, no statue, no shape inside,
No form to hold, no place to hide.
A space held open, set apart,
Where freedom enters humans’ hearts.

Something out of nothing comes,
Life begins where form is gone.
Something out of nothing seen,
Creation lives in the space between.

Silence holds the notes of sound,
Space between words is found.
From one thought to what comes next,
A moment empty, still, and clear.
Not absence, but a place to be,
Emptiness lets life begin.

Something out of nothing comes,
Life begins where form is gone.
Something out of nothing seen,
Creation lives in the space between.

No image there, no final sign,
No shape to claim the divine.
No force to bind, no voice commands,
Just space where choice can stand.
In that emptiness, deep and wide,
Human freedom comes alive.

Something out of nothing comes,
Life begins where form is gone.
Something out of nothing seen,
Creation lives in the space between.

Something born from nothing comes,
Life begins where form is gone.
Something new, yet still unseen,
Creation lives in the space between.

We Rise

Hanukkah was never a battle for power, but for emancipation. When light is challenged, we don’t retreat – we rise.   “We Rise” is the fourth release from my album “Songs for Hanuka”, a Human/AI collaboration inspired by Jewish wisdom. – Dr. Gil.

Lyrics - We Rise [click to open]

They told us: bow down, forget your name
Change your faith, play their game
Small flame shaking in the night
But we held on, we chose the light.

We rise, even when we’re outnumbered
Stand strong, hearts unbroken, unshaken
Faith loud, when the world says “surrender”
Light wins, when we remember who we are
Rise, Rise, Rise.

Not for crowns, not for rule or throne
Not for power carved in stone
We fought to pray, to live, to choose
Religious freedom, nothing to lose.

We rise, even when we’re outnumbered
Stand strong, hearts unbroken, unshaken
Faith loud, when the world says “surrender”
Light wins, when we remember who we are.
Rise, Rise, Rise.

After victory, the war was done
We lit the fire, thought we’d burn one
One day’s oil, but we still believed
Eight nights later, light still breathed

We rise, even when we’re outnumbered
Stand strong, hearts unbroken, unshaken
Faith loud, when the world says “surrender”
Light wins, when we remember who we are.
Rise, Rise, Rise.

If I fall, let the light stay alive
Let our faith outlive the fight
Not for power, not for fame
Just to serve God, and His name.

We rise, even when we’re outnumbered
Stand strong, hearts unbroken, unshaken
Faith loud, when the world says “surrender”
Light wins, when we remember who we are.
Rise, Rise, Rise.

Banish the Darkness

One flame becomes many – the miracle of Hanuka. “Banish the Darkness” is an anthem of movement and hope, the fifth release from my album “Songs for Hanuka”, a Human/AI collaboration inspired by Jewish wisdom and symbolism. – Dr. Gil.

Lyrics - Banish the Darkness [click to open]

We step forward
Push back darkness
In our hands
Fire, brightness
Each one carries
Tiny glowing
Side by side
Strength is growing

Move aside, darkness
Clear the way
Move aside, darkness
Light will stay

Temple broken
Oil unclean
Hope was fading
Barely seen
They said loudly
“Not enough”
We said calmly
“Watch this stuff”
From one flame
Many rise
Small beginnings
Light multiplies

Move aside, darkness
Clear the way
Move aside, darkness
Light will stay

We share joy
Feet keep dancing
Even stars
Start advancing
If we stumble
We stand tall
One more spark
That is all

Move aside, darkness
Clear the way
Move aside, darkness
Light will stay

Night by night
Add one more
Till the darkness
Is no more
Not the stones
Not the walls
Living light
In us all

Move aside, darkness
Clear the way
Move aside, darkness
Light is here

Sacred Before All Things (Mount Moriah)

Before walls, before power, before possession, there was sacredness. Mount Moriah in Jerusalem is where holiness existed prior to history… Then, Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, David, Solomon – all touched that soil.  The sixth release from my album “Songs for Hanuka”, a Human/AI collaboration inspired by Jewish wisdom and symbolism. – Dr. Gil.

Lyrics - Sacred Before All Things (Mount Moriah) [click to open]

Mount Moriah in Jerusalem, sacred from the start,
Before stone, before fire, before thought took part.
Before any altar was built on that ground,
The place was holy, fixed and profound.
Adam was formed from the earth in that spot,
From that very soil by God he was wrought.
On that same ground, Adam offered to God,
The first offering, a first bond.

One holy place, exact and known,
The meeting point of heaven and earth.

One holy place, exact and known,
The meeting point of heaven and earth.

Cain brought his offering on that land,
Abel brought his there, both side by side.
Same ground, same reach to the sky,
Worship there tested, hearts were tried.
After the Flood, when the waters withdrew,
On that same spot, Noah gave an offering too.

One holy place, exact and known,
The meeting point of heaven and earth.

One holy place, exact and known,
The meeting point of heaven and earth.

Abraham climbed there with his son in trust,
Isaac bound on that ground, faith proved in dust.
There Jacob dreamed, a ladder revealed,
Future written, God’s promise sealed.
David bought the land, Solomon raised the frame,
When the Temple stood, God’s presence was there.

One holy place, exact and known,
The meeting point of heaven and earth.

One holy place, exact and known,
The meeting point of heaven and earth.

Then walls were broken, flames went dark,
The Temple destroyed, its service torn apart.
God placed His dwelling inside all of us,
An inner Jerusalem, beating, alive.
Our bodies are Temples, our souls the view,
Our minds – kohanim; our low instincts – sacrifice.
No daily offerings, but prayer each day,
We reach God now from within our way.

One holy place, exact and known,
The meeting point of heaven and earth restored.

One holy place, exact and known,
The meeting point of heaven and earth restored.

The Sacred Oil

When they destroyed the Jewish Temple, they thought they had destroyed sacredness with it. And yet, one small jar of oil remained. Pure. Chosen. Lit. Instead of one day, the light burned for eight. “The Sacred Oil” is the seventh release from my album “Songs for Hanuka”, a Human/AI collaboration inspired by Jewish wisdom and symbolism. – Dr. Gil.

Lyrics - The Sacred Oil [click to open]

They did not come just for gold,
They came to break what could not be sold.
They stormed the Temple with force and glee,
To defile oil made for purity.
Blessed and sealed by the High Priest’s hand,
Set apart to light the land.

They poured it out, they stripped its name,
So, sacred oil could not hold flame.
The walls were torn, the fire defiled,
Holiness itself put on trial.

The oil was holy, set apart,
Made for flames, made for hearts.
When sacred oil is desecrated,
Light grows weak, and truth is shaken.
Not every flame is fit to rise,
Only pure oil gives holy light.

They didn’t come just to rule the land,
Or take the Temple by forceful hand.
They crowned the mind as final law,
Explained the world, but dulled its awe.
Reason mapped what life should be,
But maps are not reality.

Wisdom waited, oil unlit,
Till someone chose to act on it.
The mind can guide, but can’t replace
A living fire, a sacred space.

The oil was holy, set apart,
Made for flames, made for hearts.
When sacred oil is desecrated,
Light grows weak, and truth is shaken.
Not every flame is fit to rise,
Only pure oil gives holy light.

One small jar, untouched, unseen,
Still pure beneath the broken scene.
Not enough, they could have said,
But they lit it with what they had.
They did not wait for perfect days,
They chose the light in fractured space.
And from that oil, pure and small,
The flame burned on beyond it all.

The oil was holy, set apart,
Made for flames, made for hearts.
When sacred oil is sanctified,
The light returns, the flame survives.
Not by power, not by might,
But pure oil brings the holy light.

The oil was holy, set apart,
Made for flames, made for hearts.
The oil was holy, sanctified,
The light returns, flame survives.

The Twelve Gems of Israel

When heaven answers, the stones begin to glow: ‘Urim veTumim’ were the sacred twelve stones, representing the twelve Jewish Tribes, through which God’s will was revealed to Israel at moments of national decision. Letters would shape from the stones, forming answers and guidance. “The Twelve Gems of Israel” is the eighth release from my album “Songs for Hanuka”, a Human/AI collaboration inspired by Jewish wisdom and symbolism. – Dr. Gil

Lyrics - The Twelve Gems of Israel [click to open]

Golden threads and colours intertwined
Resting over heart and mind
Twelve bright stones in ordered rows
Names of tribes begin to glow

Light awakens, letters rise
Truth revealed before the eyes
Sacred signs begin to move
Heaven speaks through Urim veTumim

Cohen Gadol stands in place
Wearing judgment, wearing grace
Bound to God, firm and true
Carrying the people through

Light awakens, letters rise
Truth revealed before the eyes
Sacred signs begin to move
Heaven speaks through Urim veTumim

Facing the Ark of the Covenant
Spirit rests, the moment bends
Holy letters shine and form
Guiding words, divinely drawn

Light awakens, letters rise
Truth revealed before the eyes
Sacred signs begin to move
Heaven speaks through Urim veTumim

Questions held like quiet prayer
Answers written in the glare
Stone and name and light align
God’s own will in living signs

Light awakens, letters rise
Truth revealed before the eyes
Sacred signs begin to move
Heaven speaks through Urim veTumim

The Ark

How did the Jews manage to carry the heavy Ark through the hot desert? Well, two angels are guarding the Ark – once the right hands reached out to lift it, the angels spread their wings, and the Ark began to rise. “The Ark” is the ninth release from my album “Songs for Hanuka”, a Human/AI collaboration inspired by Jewish wisdom and symbolism. – Dr. Gil

Lyrics - The Ark [click to open]

The Ark, God’s holy artefact,
Wood and gold, made strong and exact.
Inside the words God gave to all,
A living promise, sacred call.
Angels above, wings held tight,
Guarding the Ark through day and night.
Holy and still, set apart,
The meeting place of God and heart.

The Ark lifts us up,
When we draw near.
Holiness moves,
When we are here.
God’s light is carried,
Hand to hand.

Ka’dosh, Ka’dosh, Ka’dosh.
(Holy, holy, holy).

We carried it through desert sand,
Step by step, by human hands.
Through the wild, through heat and time,
Following purpose, line by line.
To Jerusalem, sacred ground,
Where the Temple’s heart was found.
There it rests, deep inside,
Holy and whole, where heaven stayed.

The Ark lifts us up,
When we draw near.
Holiness moves,
When we are here.
God’s light is carried,
Hand to hand.

Ka’dosh, Ka’dosh, Ka’dosh.
(Holy, holy, holy).

The Ark was heavy, weight and gold,
Too much for arms alone to hold.
But when the right hands came to bear,
Angels spread their wings in air.
The Ark rose up, began to move,
Not carried by us, but carrying through.
We thought the weight was ours to keep,
But it lifted us with every step.

The Ark lifts us up,
When we draw near.
Holiness moves,
When we are here.
God’s light is carried,
Hand to hand.

Ka’dosh, Ka’dosh, Ka’dosh.
(Holy, holy, holy).

The Ark lifts us up,
When we draw near.
Holiness moves,
When we are here.
God’s light is carried,
Hand to hand.

Ka’dosh, Ka’dosh, Ka’dosh.
(Holy, holy, holy).

Yerushalayim

Jerusalem was originally called Yeru-Shalem (Complete, God’s awe), then Yeru-Shala-yim (a plural form, as the city became two in one: sacred and physical). “Yerushalayim” is the tenth release from my album “Songs for Hanuka”, a Human/AI collaboration inspired by Jewish wisdom and symbolism. – Dr. Gil.

Lyrics - Yerushalayim [click to open]

Abraham stood,
Looked to the sky,
Called the place
Elohim Yir’eh.
God revealed,
Awe felt deep,
Not just seen,
But known within.

Yeru-shalem,
Whole and true,
Spirit and earth
Meeting too.
God revealed,
Here we stand,
Heaven touching
Human land.

Yeru-shalem,
Whole and true,
Spirit and earth
Meeting too.
God revealed,
Here we stand,
Heaven touching
Human land.

King David came,
United all,
Built a nation,
Strong and whole.
He bought the mountain,
Paid the cost,
Made it sacred,
Never forced.

Yeru-shalem,
Whole and true,
Spirit and earth
Meeting too.
God revealed,
Here we stand,
Heaven touching
Human land.

Shlomo built
The Temple high,
Stone and gold
Reached the sky.
From that day
The name was said:
Yerushalayim,
Two worlds wed.

Hidden, Not Gone

When the Temple fell, many believed holiness had vanished. Yet, the sacred was not destroyed but concealed. King Shlomo hid the Ark in vaults beneath the Holy of Holies. And so, even as the Temple was destroyed, the Ark remains alive, present, right now. It breathes divine energy from Jerusalem into the entire earth. “Hidden, Not Gone” is the eleventh release from my album “Songs for Hanuka”, a Human/AI collaboration inspired by Jewish wisdom and symbolism. – Dr. Gil.

Lyrics - Hidden, Not Gone [click to open]

In the Temple,
The Ark was placed.
Bigger than the room,
Yet fitting the space.

It fit because
Heaven came to earth,
Spirit brought
Into a physical world.

Light lives here,
Not far away.
Holiness on earth,
Here to stay.
Not escape,
But here inside,
Light among us,
Never apart.

King Shlomo,
Wisest of them all,
Saw the future,
Times of destruction would fall.

Under the Temple,
Deep below,
He built vaults,
Where none would go.
He hid the Ark
In a secret space.

Light lives here,
Not far away.
Holiness on earth,
Here to stay.
Not escape,
But here inside,
Light among us,
Never apart.

The Temple fell,
The city burned.
They entered seeking
Gold and might.
But the deepest power
Was out of sight.

The Ark hidden safe,
The room stood bare.
They broke the stone,
Not the source
Where light is born.

Light lives here,
Not far away.
Holiness on earth,
Here to stay.
Not escape,
But here inside,
Light among us,
Never apart.

The Ark rests
Beneath the ground,
A living presence,
Divine light found.
In Jerusalem
It pulses still,
Giving life
Its breath and will.

The Temple fell,
But this remained,
A holy source
No force could drain.

Light lives here,
Not far away.
Holiness on earth,
Here to stay.
Not escape,
But here inside,
Light among us,
Never apart.

Light lives here,
Not far away.
Holiness on earth,
Here to stay.
The Ark is here,
The pulse is strong,
We live the light,
We carry it on.
