What other people say…
I had a one off powerful experience when I was an atheist. I challenged God to prove “his” existence. Long story short was that immediately I fell into despair of the world and unworthiness in myself. In the moment when I was lowest and in tears, my room became flooded with golden Light and I felt like I was in an “oven” of Love and forgiveness. My room and the world seemed like a flimsy stage set made of cardboard. A powerful thought was communicated to me that the problems of the world were under God’s control and no need for me to worry about them and that God loved me for myself no matter my past actions. My tears of despair became tears of gratitude and joy and the room slowly returned to “normal”.
40 years later the experience was never repeated but the memory remains strong as ever.by John - 3 November 2018 at 11:33 pm.
I was deeply troubled by what the resting place of the dead was. I was caring for my dying mother. I had visions of cold and dark. Even so morbid as a drawer in a morgue. I did not want to turn her over to this.
I had a dream one night. I was in a place. Not a room because there were no walls. My mom was floating by my side in the air. The light was dim and enveloping. The light was the air. I could feel the light. Not heat. I was part of the light.
I understood and it was comforting to let her go there.
God let me feel him. He is light that is air. He is complete.
There is a Spirit within that is ever present; that is Omni.
The very Presence of God is that of constancy. Without feeling, without form, God is a Spirit. I "feel" God through my relationship with Him. As such it is knowing more than feeling. Over time I have come to establish a relationship with God. It is through this relationship that His Presence is with me and rests with me. God "feels" like my peace, peace just for me, mine; a settled serenity. God "feels" like joy, beyond happiness. The feeling of its o.k. -- full stop. His Shalom. In His Presence is indeed fullness of joy and pleasures always. This is not some euphoric transcendental statement, either. It is a knowing. A sense of knowing that Someone that you know who certainly knows you. Through time there has been an established kinship; a bond.
God is a Spirit. He is Eternal; has always been. In His Image, I am also an eternal being living in a natural world. I have a soul and a spirit journeying in this natural world in a natural body, an earth suit. I communicate with God and He with me. Our communication is a communion. Spirit to spirit. I have relationship with Him. It is through communion and my relating with Him that I come to knowing God. And it is to that degree and in the confines of a very personal liaison that I interact or (feel) God. This liaison bridges me to Him to “feel” Him. We have come to know each other. Not that God did not already know me, He did and does, (He made me and formed me in my mother's womb and knew me there) yet He also knows me as the being that I am becoming. He knows me as one who is becoming acquainted with Him. He knows me now as one who has relationship with Him.
The more that we invest in our relationship or relating to one another the more His knowing me as I am now is directly related with me becoming knowing (or aware) of Him. He knows me as the person who now knows Him. It is through the relationship that I "feel" Him. Getting to know God, His Will, His Ways, His Grace, His Love is how I "feel" Him. It is through earnest desire and seeking Him that He is found of me. Then the "feel" is in the closeness of the union. The feel is in the alliance of interpersonal communication.
It is personal; one of a kind, tailor made and tailored intimacy. Intimacy always relegates a feeling to the relationship but does not start or stop with feeling but rather with knowing. Acknowledging and accepting His Truth, about Himself and the truth about myself is how I feel congruity with Him. The Word of God, the Bible explains it, and as it is written, it is so and so let it be done. The splendor of Divine contact, Beloved communion, Uncompromisable intimacy--relationship with Almighty God obtained through faith in His Son, LORD Jesus, The Christ . . . is how I “feel” God. I feel You God. Thanks.by Darlene Elaine Richardson - 11 May 2015 at 6:19 pm.
The experience of the feelings of joy, peace, happiness, love and even being neutral all experiences of anything that is positive is what God feels like. Which is your true beingness. You can say that Even negative feelings are feelings of the god within you. Either feelings have consequences. Positive feelings brings great rewards of ectacy. Negativity brings fear, sadness, illness, pain etc. which will you choose? As for me I will be the love that I have chosen to be in my beingness which gives me joy, happiness and power. Embrace them all that is you and free will choose wisely which way of life you truly are. Love and blessings: Ruth from Californiaby - 2 December 2014 at 10:04 pm.

God feels like when I feel passionate about something. When I feel very happy and content. When I feel complete love for my pets.by Daphne - 23 June 2013 at 10:36 am.
God feels like to me very free, as if I am ice-skating everywhere I go. God can feel everything you feel, because he is everything you can think of like love and even you!by Yael-Louise - 11 January 2013 at 8:03 am.
What Does God Feel Like?
I love my mother, even though she is no longer in this world I talk to her when I visit her in the cemetery and I still feel that love for her.
I love my father, even though he was killed in action during WWii I pray to him and tell him how much I miss and love him.
I love each of my four children and tell them regularly.
I love each of my seven grandchildren and tell each of them whenever I meet them.
I love going fishing, playing golf, playing snooker, having a chat and laugh with my many friends, and I used to love my dog when she was alive.
If I could take all those different kinds of love and roll them into a ball, like a huge snowball of love, then I would say "Look, this is what God Feels Like".
Nobody can see Him, but you will certainly know Him. He is Love. Amen.
The internal in me is reflected on the external to me. It is the whispering of the Angels that come, slowly, while my inner ear is open to the light. I am not religious; I just believe in God. I can hear God's voice, and God's presence. They can call it by whatever name they choose: Dharma, Unconsciousness, Oneness, Elokim, The Source, The Light... there are so many ways to describe God, but there is only one way to know God, and that is: to feel God. Feel her in your heart, feel her in your mind.
We love you God.by Gil - 14 December 2012 at 9:10 pm.
